Through the address bar, Cortana can tell you stock market, weather, and other useful information, and today the assistant will help you to save money by offering you retail coupons on certain websites. The next time, you visit an online retail store like Best Buy, Staples, or Macy’s, you’ll notice Cortana jumping up and down in the address bar letting you know of the coupons and discounts available in the store — just click on it and you’ll get the discounts available at that time–. The card shows how much saving are you getting and on what products, how many days until the coupon expires, and the code that you’ll need to enter at check out. It will be interesting to see what other companies Microsoft adds support for. Personally, I would like to see companies, such as Starbucks, Barnes & Nobles, and more local stores. Even more interesting, I would like to see Cortana providing coupons as you walk into a store, just like the app RetailMeNot. This is a welcome addition that without a doubt will help to lure users to engage with Microsoft Edge. There is not update to be downloaded, as Cortana is powered by the cloud, you can test the new feature by visiting one of the retailers I mentioned above.
