The Dell Latitude 12 7000 Series 2-in-1 is a 12.5-inch device that sports a magnetic connection that allows an easy transition from laptop to tablet mode very similar to the same feature found in Microsoft’s Surface. Running Windows 10 Pro, the 12.5-inch 2-in-1 device from Dell features a beautiful UltraSharp 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with a body constructed out of magnesium alloy to offer lightweight and premium feeling. It’s worth to point out that there is also the choice to get a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution display, but on either case, both displays – 1080p and 4K UHD – features 360 nits of brightness.

Dell’s Latitude 12 7000 Series 2-in-1 device is powered by Intel’s sixth-gen Core M processor, with the choice of Core m3, m5, or m7 chips, ranging from 2.2GHz to 3.1 GHz, and Intel’s Graphics 515. For storage, the company is using Solid-State Drive PCIe up to 512GB and 8GB of memory. As we are seeing the trend at CES 2016, the new Latitude 12 7000 Series 2-1 device features USB Type-C 3.1 with Thunderbolt. There is also an SD memory card reader, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1, and the option for LTE connectivity. The back-facing camera offers 8MP resolution while the front-facing camera only offer 5MP resolution. If your devices aren’t ready for USB Type-C, then Dell will also ship you the device with a USB Type-C to USB 3.0 adapter.

The new Dell Latitude 12 includes two choices of keyboard. The Dell Latitude 12 Slim Keyboard is also a full-sized, backlit, and lightweight keyboard that makes typing a very comfortable task while providing a full range of viewing angles. Similar to a Surface tablet, the keyboard for the Dell Latitude 12 also attaches magnetically. There is also, the Dell Latitude 12 Premium Keyboard single-handedly connects to the tablet, and features backlit keys and mouse cursor control with a high precision, gesture touchpad. Dell is aiming this beautiful Windows 10 device for businesses to provide the best of both worlds for those who want the full functionality of a laptop on a tablet form factor. Customers will be able to purchase the Latitude 12 7000 Series 2-in-1 in February 2016 on Dell.com, and in the United States the prices will start at $1,049. Along with the new Latitude 12 7000 Series 2-in-1, Dell also announced Latitude 13 7000 Series Ultrabook, which is the world’s smallest 13-inch business-class Ultrabook featuring an InfinityEdge display, USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 3 allowing to drive two 4K monitors simultaneously, fingerprint reader, RFID reader, and more. In the United States the prices will start at $1,299. As part of the Latitude refresh, the PC maker also unveiled the Latitude 11 5000 Series 2-in-1.
