What you may not know is that there is a “hidden” way that allows you to upload files to the cloud storage service; it’s not conventional, but it is a tip that will benefit Windows 8 and Windows RT users alike until the company, hopefully, comes up with an update that adds the feature. The process is straightforward, because there is not a direct way to upload files by drag-&-drop or just dropping files into a folder, you can however save a document directly to the Dropbox by simply using the “Save As” command from the Windows 8 app.

For this demo I used the Photoroom app for Windows 8 to give the option a try and it worked. After the  document was uploaded to Dropbox a toast notification popped up informing that the file was successfully saved.
