In Firefox 4 by default Websites can track your online activities, the good news is that the browser has the option Tell web sites I do not want to be tracked, having this option selected will tell Websites that you wish not to be tracked and they will respond to the signal. Because not everybody likes to be tracked online, in this short how-to article I am going to show you how to disable tracking in Firefox 4, this way you can feel a little bit safer browsing the internet and you won’t be target with specific ads anymore by the result of your online activities or have your online activity information collected and shared by others.

  1.  First click the new Firefox 4 orange button and select Options.

  2.  Navigate to the Advanced Tab and under Browsing check the box for Tell web sites I do not want to be tracked.
