Folder protection is unavailable

Folder is on a different volume
You’re likely to run into the “folder is on a different volume” error, for example, if OneDrive is configured on the D: drive, and your Documents folder is located in the C: drive. It’s not possible to protect known folders using this scenario. The only way to resolve this issue is to reconfigure OneDrive in the same drive where the known folders you’re trying to protected are located. Right-click the cloud icon in the taskbar, click Settings, and click the Unlink this PC option.
