There are two new laptop models that HP is launching today, an 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch model with the option of touch. As budget laptops, these aren’t meant for heavy workload as they feature Intel’s Celeron N2840 processor and Intel HD Graphics, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and fanless design, as such you would choose a device like these only for basic tasks. According to HP these new budget laptops can last up to 8.5 hours on a single charge.
While the 11.6-inch laptop will cost $199, the HP Stream 13.3-inch will cost $229 and they both will come with Office 365 Personal subscription for a year with 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. Also two colors will be available for each model: blue and magenta. HP is also unveiling the Stream 7 and Stream 8, the smaller 7-inch will cost $99, while the bigger 8-inch brother will go for $149.
Both HP Stream Windows tablets feature an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, which expand via microSD card, and Bluetooth 4.0. The tablets will be available in November, however the new Stream laptops still don’t have availability date. These new devices together with others Windows devices launching soon will be part of Microsoft assault trying to put an end to Chromebooks and Android expansion.
