In an effort to promote PC sales, Intel recently release a downloadable PDF showcasing a number of tablets, 2-in-1, and portable all-in-one Windows 8.1 devices, including the Dell Venue 8 Pro, Dell XPS 11, Lenovo Miix 2, HP Omni 10, Sony VAIO Tap 21, and many more. All of the Windows 8.1 devices in the 2013 holiday buying guide feature Intel’s processors ranging from the Atom Z2000 to the Z3000 quad-core “Bay Trail” and Intel’s 4th generation Core processors. Perhaps one of the most interesting device feature in guide is the Dell Venue 8-inch tablet, because it ships with great hardware, considering its $299 price tag for the 32GB model and full version of Windows 8.1. At a screen resolution of 1280 x 800, this isn’t the highest tablet resolution we’ve seen, but it’s good enough. The Dell tablet also packs a quad-core Z3740D Bay Trail CPU, 2GB of RAM (very standard), Micro-USB charging port, SD card slot, and it only weighs 0.9 pounds. Next we have the Lenovo Miix 2, which is a similar to the Dell Venue 8 Pro. It also features a quad-core Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, 720p screen resolution, 32GB of storage, and it’s also priced at $299. The only big difference is weight at 0.77 pounds, which makes lighter than the Venue tablet. The HP Omni 10 has a price tag of $399. Of course the holiday buying guide didn’t include any Windows RT 8.1 device as the operating system isn’t supported by Intel’s chips, but the guide did mention a few Android tablets like the Acer Chromebook C720 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
