Although the two-factor authentication brings a welcome security feature to the Microsoft account, it will not work with linked accounts, LiveSide says. Which means that you’re required to unlink the account before using the new verification technology. And there will be also a web version of the new security feature called “app password” for those apps and devices that do not support two-factor auth.
