According to sources familiar to the plan, Microsoft is paying somewhere between $100 to $200 million to acquire the company, and the acquisition is a new effort to add more apps to its line of mobile apps. Recently, the company began offering Office mobile for free across platforms and purchased two companies that are known to build mobile apps. Acompli is a company that makes mobile-email applications which Microsoft rebranded as Outlook for mobile. And Sunrise Atelier, Inc., which is the group behind the popular Sunrise mobile calendar app. While the information about the new acquisition is credible, Microsoft has yet to officially announce the purchase of 6Wonderkinder. OneNote offers somewhat similar functionalities to the Wunderlist app, as such it’s still unclear the plans for this app, as Microsoft could, on one hand, keep the app as is or it could bring the features of the to-do list app to OneNote to enhance the product.
