Now, WinBeta reports that the “Fall Update” might arrive on November 10th. The possible release date first appeared in the Microsoft Answer forums, where a community member asked: “When Cortana will be available in India?”, to what a Microsoft Support Engineer replied: “Cortana will be available in India after November update releasing on November 10th, 2015.” As such, we can logically assume that the software giant is targeting November 10th, as the release date for the “Windows 10 Fall Update” (Threshold 2). The update will bring a big number of improvements to the operating system, including tweaks around the user-interface, the Messaging apps powered by Skype, and changes on Microsoft Edge. The update won’t have any prerequisite because every Windows 10 update is cumulative. Also, the update will roll out through Windows Update and it’s likely to be labeled as “Windows 10 November 2015”. Microsoft won’t be rolling out the update as a full installation, so there won’t be re-activation involved. Those who upgrade to Windows 10 using the “Fall Update” will also be able to take advantage of the new activation process that doesn’t require to upgrade to Windows 10, before you can perform a clean install of the operating system to activate. There will also be changes on the reset feature, which will let users restore their PC to the default settings but to the “Windows 10 Fall Update” and not to July 29th release. If everything goes according to plan and the Support Engineer is accurate on the release date, this gives Microsoft just a few days to sign off the final build and push it to everyone.
