The company is planning to hold an event, in a yet undisclosed venue, in New York City. According to a new article by Mary Jo Foley at All about Microsoft website, the agenda and time is also unclear. The invitation that Microsoft sent to the media doesn’t share any more information beyond when the event is going to be, location and a line that reads: “You’re invited to celebrate. Windows 8.” Microsoft has chosen New York City as the location for the most Windows launches including: Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP. Anyone coming to the “The Big Apple” be ready to see quite a bit of fans out there. After all, this is one of the most important launches in the company’s history . Remember that the company is also releasing Surface RT (Microsoft first tablet device) running Windows RT on ARM, which probably will cost you $300, as Steve Ballmer recently talked about Windows 8 launch and Surface in an interview for the Seattle Times and said “I think we have a very competitive product from the features perspective,” […] “If you look at the bulk of the PC market, it would run between, say, probably $300 to about $700 or $800. That’s the sweet spot.” Are you going to join the Windows 8 party on Oct. 25th? Leave your comments and thoughts.
