Although, this is a minor update for Windows 8.1, Microsoft is adding a few significant changes focusing on making the operating system better suited for traditional PCs using the keyboard and mouse. For example, the company is adding a way to pin Windows 8-style (Metro) apps to the taskbar, separate to pinning users now have a new option to show running Metro apps on the taskbar too. Also you can expect to minimize and close modern apps more easily with the mouse, there is a new context menu for live tiles to get access to different options, and now there it’s super easy to shutdown Windows 8.1 with the new Power Options located in the Start screen.
