It all started with a sticker that Microsoft created several months back, then the ninja cat riding a unicorn with the Windows flag went viral among Windows fans to the point that the company decided to create a bunch of wallpapers for Windows Insiders, as a token of appreciation and on celebration of Windows 10, which will release on July 29th. While the original ninja cat was riding a unicorn breathing fire, Microsoft used a little more creativity and has created a new ninja cat riding a T-Rex with a pair of claw grabbers and a ninja cat riding a narwhal featuring the unmistakable sing straight horn projecting from its overhead and bacon. “For those of you wondering – yes, the original ninja cat was modeled after the amazing “Welcome to the Internet” image by Jason Heuser – you can see more of his work here. While the ninja cat started out as just a fun little internal joke, it’s been pretty neat to see our Windows Insiders and Windows and Microsoft fans really enjoying our version of it.” Gabriel Aul, Microsoft’s head of the Windows Insider Program says. The company is making the images available for download in various resolutions from the highest 4K resolution, going to down to 1080P, 1366 x 768, to phone and even for the Microsoft Band.

Finally, the company has also included an Easter egg in the latest version of Skype. If you send an invite from Skype using Windows 10, you’ll see a ninja cat animation riding a T-Rex.
