The Lumia 830 has a retail price of $440 before taxes and subsidies. It will be available this month globally, but the bad new is that it is not aimed for the US market.

The handset is thin and light, compared to the Lumia 930, and they look similar. On the inside is where the real difference take place. The Lumia 830 runs a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of onboard storage, though, you can easily add more storage through a microSD card of up to 128GB. Weighs 150g, measures 139.4 x 70.7 x 8.5 mm, also features USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, A-GPS and Glonass; 3 high performance microphones, Nokia Rich Recording with surround sound capture (Dolby 5.1), uplink noise cancellation for calls, 3.5 mm AV connector, and removable 2200 mAh battery. This is 5-inch handset like the Lumia 930, however to bring the price down and make the Lumia 830 more affordable, Microsoft is shipping a 1280 x 720 pixels screen resolution with Gorilla Glass 3, instead of the 1920 x 1080 full-HD on the 930. Although the Lumia 830 ships with a 10-megapixel PureView camera with ZEISS optics, great recording capability, and image stabilization, it’s not as good as other phones, like the Lumia 930, 1020, or 1520. The Lumia 830 also features wireless charging and SensorCore that allows applications to use sensors in the phone without draining the battery. Just like its sibling the Lumia 830 features an aluminum body with a polycarbonate back. The phone will ship in four colors: orange, green, white, and black. Initially the phone will come pre-loaded with Windows Phone 8.1, but Microsoft will also release the new Lumia Denim update in the fall to bring even more features.
