The software maker will be making available the new version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Visio, Access, Publisher, and Skype for Business. However, the new version will not be providing a massive redesign of what we already see in the current version of Office. Office 2016 will remain almost identical to the 2013 version, but the desktop release will include the new colorful theme similar to what we find in the mobile version of Office for Windows 10. The new colorful theme also matches the design for Office apps for Mac, iOS, and Android apps. In addition, Office 2016 will include a new dark theme for those who like to use the dark theme in Windows 10 and don’t like the new look of the new apps. While the company will not be introducing a huge number of new features, the new Office apps will include a number of improvements and performance enhancements. For example, Outlook 2016 will include changes on search, storage, and attachment, Word 2016 will get real-time co-authoring on the desktop version of the app and various other improvements, and Excel 2016 will also include various enhancements, such as in the 2016 version, users will get integration to Power Query as a standard feature, one-click forecasting, “Tell me”, and much more.
