If you have used Outlook.com in the past, the app will look familiar since it’s identical. However, instead of using it in the web browser, it’s a standalone application that includes some other additions, such as the ability to customize the ribbon menu. There are multiple actions you can use in the app’s header. Also, it’s assumed that this client application will also include the option to connect with different email services like Gmail. Similar to the web version of Outlook, composing an email or creating an event brings up a new window instead of moving to a different page. Alongside the capability to manage emails, the app will also offer a calendar and people’s page to save your contacts. It’s unclear when the new email client will be available to users, but since it already works for some types of accounts, at least a public preview will likely release soon.
