The software maker has previously demonstrated the new Internet Explorer replacement software during the Windows 10 preview press event back in January, but since then Windows Insiders have been waiting for the company to actually ship a test version of Spartan. While the news will put a smile to many Windows fans, users were waiting to get a new build in February, and it’s still not clear when the company will actually make available the next preview build of Windows 10. However, a new build should be available before the end of March — source told The Verge. At Mobile World Congress, Microsoft talked about the future of Windows 10 and among different features, the company demonstrated for the first time Project Spartan for phones. The new web browser software looks and behaves exactly as the version is being built for the desktop version of Windows 10, with minimalistic design, thin buttons, and it comes with the Reading List view feature to declutter web pages — or how Microsoft calls it “an eReader for your browser”. Among other features, the company showed off a handful of Universal apps running on Windows 10 build 10026, which indicates that the next build for Windows Insiders will ship with a similar number. Later this month, Microsoft will also be releasing a preview of its Office apps for phones running Windows 10 and it will be available to all Insiders testing the operating system.
