The main reason for this change is that Microsoft is getting into the final stages of the development cycle, and it’s now focusing on stabilization of the Redstone 5 update. As a result, the company is now making changes to the Skip Ahead option to start releasing test builds for the next version of Windows 10, which carries the “19H1” codename instead of “Redstone 6.” If you’re a participant of the Windows Insider Preview program using the Skip Ahead option, starting with build 17713, your device will automatically switch to the Fast ring, and you’ll notice that the Skip Ahead option is no longer available. According to the software giant, in the coming weeks, the Skip Ahead option will return as an opt-in option. If you want to get an early start on the Windows 10 19H1 development, you’ll need to quickly change your settings as this will be a limited time offer.
