The news comes from Tami Reller, CFO and CMO of Microsoft’s Windows Division at Computex 2013. “We’re always listening to our customers and one piece of feedback was that people want the power of Outlook on all their Windows PCs and tablets.” — states the news article from the Office News blog. If you remember in the past Microsoft was building a version of Outlook for Windows RT, but it didn’t make in the final product due to issues. Now those issues have been worked out and the most favorite email client software is finally coming to those Windows RT devices based on ARM-chipset, including Surface RT, Dell XPS 10, Lenovo Yoga 11, ASUS VivoTab RT, and future tablets. Outlook 2013 RT isn’t a Windows 8-style app But don’t be confused, the upcoming version of Outlook 2013 RT is a desktop application, not a Windows 8 app with the new Metro interface. Microsoft also noted that the new Outlook has been redesigned to reduce clutter and making your content the center point. Also this new version will include new features like quick respond to email with inline replay, “peeks” to view your calendar or contact without having to switch tabs, new tools, and Outlook will soon be available on Windows PCs, tablets and phones.
