Outlook 2013 RT isn’t a Windows 8-style app But don’t be confused, the upcoming version of Outlook 2013 RT is a desktop application, not a Windows 8 app with the new Metro interface. Microsoft also noted that the new Outlook has been redesigned to reduce clutter and making your content the center point. Also this new version will include new features like quick respond to email with inline replay, “peeks” to view your calendar or contact without having to switch tabs, new tools, and Outlook will soon be available on Windows PCs, tablets and phones.
