The Patch Tuesday that the company is rolling out today is a series of updates to address low speaker volume and to improve system stability for Surface RT. For Surface Pro Microsoft is releasing updates to correct Wi-Fi connectivity and performance issues, and a new video update to improve the overall performance of the tablet when using Skype. The update also brings a PXE boot feature aim for system administrators to utilize the network to deploy Windows. Surface users can expect all these new fixes, plus all monthly security updates that are being released for Windows 8. According to the Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for May 2013, the company is releasing 10 patches fixing a total of 33 vulnerabilities, 8 of them rated as Important and two rated as Critical. Dealing with issues in Internet Explorer (including the recent IE8 zero-day flaw crafted to target U.S. government workers), Windows, Microsoft Office, .Net Framework, Microsoft Windows Essentials and Microsoft Lync.
