Now the company has issued a statement saying that the problem that causes Surface Pro 3 device to drain battery so quickly is a software-related issue. According to an update posted at the official Microsoft forums, the company has isolated the problem to a small number of customers. Microsoft also confirms that there is not a problem with the Simplo batteries themselves, and it’s actively working to release an update to fix the problem. Microsoft will be also publishing more information on how to fix the Surface Pro 3 battery drain issue in the forums as soon as it becomes available.
