Remember that this is a different app, it’s not your traditional VoIP and video conferencing application. This is a totally separate app for Windows 8.

How Skype WiFi works?

Once you install Skype WiFi from the Windows Store, you’ll need to sign-in with your regular Skype account username and password. Then when you find yourself on a place far away from home, open the Windows 8 app, click or tap Connect and you’ll be able to browse the internet, go to Facebook, Twitter, upload and download files, and basically everything you can do with your internet at home. The only catch, though, is that it’s not free, I mean the app itself is, but you need to pay for the minutes used, there is no data cap, and money will come from your Skype Credit account. So make sure you have those credit before going online. Also keep in mind that price may vary depending on the hotspot service you’re trying to get access to. (For more info visit this Skype page.)
