According to the official notes, the update introduces a new option to configure the Surface Slim Pen 2 in many different ways. For instance, you can now configure the pen’s button to assign other actions like opening an app or taking a screenshot for press-and-hold, single-click, and double-click. If you use the device with the “Your Phone” app on Windows 11, you will now find a new “Apps” feature that lets you run Android apps as if they were natively installed on your PC on Windows 11. The feature supports launching one or multiple applications from the Surface Duo 2. This is the list of the changes and improvements available with the January 2022 update:

Enabled pen shortcut preferences in settings for Surface Slim Pen 2. It requires Surface Slim Pen 2 to be paired with Surface Duo 2. With the Your Phone app, you can use Android apps on your PC. The update will download and install automatically, but you can install it manually from the Android update settings page if your Duo has not received it.
