According to a new report (via Neowin), the foldable device is expected to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 System on a Chip (SoC), 64GB of memory, the choice of either 64GB or 256GB of internal storage, and a 11-megapixel camera for both front-facing and rear-facing pictures and video recording. Also, there’ll be a fingerprint sensor for authentication, a USB-C, and Nano SIM slot. In addition, we now also know that the Surface Duo with come with a rather small 3,460mAh battery, when you consider that it’ll be driving two 5.6-inch AMOLED 4:3 1800 x 1350 screens. The report also suggests that the Duo will come preloaded with Android 10, and in a later date, the device will update to Android 11. While it may be disappointing for some people, the device is also said that won’t include wireless charging or NFC capability. Seeing the mid-range tech specs, the Surface Duo won’t be the device of choice if you’re looking for the best and latest hardware, but it’s setting to be the first foldable form factor that people will actually buy.
