The one issue, though, is that if for any reason Office RT starts acting up and you need to repair it, when you go to Programs and Features to troubleshoot and fix the installation, you’ll find that Office Home and Student 2013 RT doesn’t appear in the list of installed programs in your Surface RT. Of course you have it installed, when you check the update history, Windows RT and updates for Microsoft Office 2013 RT are there.

Now the right question is: what is happening? Apparently it is a known issue that doesn’t register Office as an installed program. To resolve this issue Richard Hay from WindowsObserver has pointed out that Microsoft has crafted a Fix it that is described as KB2751424 that anyone can download and run to fix this issue.
