Although the event where Microsoft talked about Windows Threshold and revealed the new name didn’t stream live, the company released the full video briefing of the event in YouTube. It is 40 minutes long video and it covers everything the software giant has been working in Windows 10 and what’s in this first tech preview. During the Windows 10 event, Microsoft showed off “Continuum”, a new mode in the operating system, aim to work best on hybrid 2-in-1 devices by adapting the system user-interface to be more touch friendly when detaching or flipping the keyboard on the device. If you were expecting to use the modern version of Internet Explorer 11 in the Technical Preview, you may already found out that Microsoft decided to not include this version of browser. But fear not, there is a Powershell you can easily run to bring the modern version of IE in Windows 10. With new features there are also new keyboard shortcuts, at least for now know that Windows 10 has six new keyboard shortcuts to navigate the operating system. This week I also showed you how to create a Windows 10 USB bootable media, so you can install the operating system without having to burn a DVD or having to resource to other complicated instructions. Finally on Windows 10, this week we also learned that the next version of the operating system will allow businesses and consumers to update on a different pace, now that the software will move a faster release cycle, with a lock-down and opt-in feature. This week also VLC released a modern version of the software for Windows 8.1, Microsoft pushes MSN apps rebrands, and $200 laptops from HP finally arrive.
