The three new updates include the KB3050279 that addresses the problem with sharing a desktop in a meeting using Lync. The KB3050284 fixes the issue that could result in a transparent Start menu and Task View, transparencies when snapping or dragging windows, and can cause desktop thumbnails to appear as black squares. In addition, this update resolves a problem that results in severe graphical artifacts on screen when Magnifier is launched in docked or lens mode, and contains a reliability improvement to resolve a common system crash. Finally, KB3046049 resolves some security issues. Microsoft is rolling out Windows 10 build 10041 immediately, you can check manually by going to the Windows Update in the Settings app. If you’re in the Fast ring of update, you simply need to install the three new updates. Update, March 26, 2015: Microsoft releases an additional update for Windows 10 build 10041. This time the software maker is pushing out KB3050653, which solves the issue where “user name and password box might not appear on the sign-in screen”. Like always the update will download and install automatically, but you can also go to Windows Update via the Settings app to install KB3050653 manually.
