Windows 10 build 18985, according to the software giant, is a small update that includes improvements to pair Bluetooth devices and install optional updates.

Windows 10 build 18985

Here are all the features and changes coming to the next version of Windows 10:

Bluetooth

Starting with build 18985, you’ll be able to pair a Bluetooth device directly from the notification, when the device is detected. For faster pairing time, Windows 10 ships with an improved interface that shows less notifications. The feature now adds a Dismiss button to the first notification to give you more control while using “Swift Pair.” And finally, to make the notification more helpful, now Windows 10 show the device name and category when possible.

Windows Update

In this flight, Windows 10 includes changes to make it easier to see all optional updates, such as drivers, feature updates, and monthly non-security quality updates in one place. Once optional updates are detected, they will be listed in a new page under Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View optional updates. For drivers, you no longer need to browse Device Manager for a specific device to update. Windows Update will automatically keep your drivers up-to-date, same as before, but if you’re having a problem one of those optional drivers might help.

Snip & Sketch

Additional, build 18985 has an updated version of the Snip & Sketch app that makes previous snip to close when you click New in Snip & Sketch the default option, so you don’t end up with a bunch of windows. Microsoft is listing the complete set of improvements, fixes, and known issues for Windows 10 Insider Preview build 18985 at the Windows Blog.
