Windows 10 build 19536, according to the company, is a small update that brings back the option to download and install optional updates (such as drivers, feature updates, and monthly non-security quality updates) through the Windows Update settings page. This flight introduces a new “Family group setup” that allows you to configure multiple accounts when you’re already managing family members from your Microsoft account. You’ll also find a new version of the Korean IME with improvements in the typing experience. On File Explorer, the search experience you can remove previous searches via an option if you right click the entry in the dropdown. In addition, users who had previously used HomeGroup will no longer see a notification on upgrade about its deprecation. Microsoft is adding Downloads Folder to the Privacy Settings page, removing the separate Hotspot 2.0 setting under Wi-Fi, and the Windows RE (Recovery Environment) no longer requires an administrator password to access recovery tools.

Windows Insider Program changes

Alongside the new features and enhancements, the company also says that moving forward the Fast ring will no longer be associated with a single release. Instead, previews available in the Fast ring will include the latest changes and improvements from the engineering team (so, no more Skip Ahead), and new features will appear in future versions of Windows 10 when they’re ready. (This means that if a feature appears for testing in the Fast ring, it won’t necessarily mean that it’ll be available in the next major release.) Microsoft is listing the complete set of improvements, fixes, and known issues for Windows 10 Insider Preview build 19536 at the Windows Blog.
