The Fall Creators Update (formerly known as “Redstone 4”) is the fourth major release that Microsoft is making available for PCs, and it’s a continuation of the work the company brought with the Creators Update. Similar to the previous release, on version 1709, you will see a number of visual changes as well as a number of new features that makes Windows 10 more productive and secure.

The new version is officially rolling out on October 17, 2017, but no every device will get it on day-one. It’s a slow rollout. Microsoft will initially start making the update available automatically to newer devices that are known to work with this version. Then based on feedback and collected telemetry during the initial phase, other devices will start receiving the Fall Creators Update. Are you still wondering what’s new with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update? This new version is significant, and it includes a number of new features and improvements. Some of these new changes, which you’ll see in the video review in more detail, includes a new look with elements of Microsoft’s Fluent Design System, which you’ll see in the Start menu, Action Center, Settings app, and across a number of apps. Xbox Live gamers can now easily troubleshoot and fix gaming problems. Windows 10 is now more accessible with new Easy of Access features, including new system level filters, and a lot more. Windows Defender Antivirus now includes a new feature called Controlled folder access to help you protect your files and device from ransomware. Microsoft Edge gets a lot of new tweaks, including Fluent Design touches, a new way to save favorites, more features to work PDFs, such as the ability to fill in forms and annotate documents using Windows Ink, and new features work with EPUB files, including the ability to add notes, highlight text, and more. There is also a new updated version of the Photos app with a new feature known as Video Story, which brings many of the functionalities found in the old Windows Movie Maker. The new View 3D app allows you to view and interact with 3D models. In addition, the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update brings a slew of small improvements, such as Power Throttling to save battery life, volume control for Windows Store apps, GPU tracking in Task Manager, native support for emoji, improved handwriting experience, and a lot more.
