Gabriel Aul, head of the Microsoft’s Windows Insider Program has announced that the Windows 10 Store team has been working to fix and improve the Store to be more reliable and faster. However, to make sure that everyone gets all the new changes, starting July 24th, Insiders will be required to be running the latest preview build of Windows 10, otherwise you won’t be able to access the Store. If you want to make sure, you’re running the later version, on the Taskbar search box type winver, and About Windows should appear letting you know the build you’re running. In the Store, you can click your profile picture, click Settings, and the version should read 2015.7.22.2 or later. This doesn’t mean that the requirement will not affect in any way to those users who will be upgrading for free on July 29 from Windows 7 or Windows 8. The enforcement will only affect Windows Insiders who are not running Windows 10 build 10240 or later build.
