The addition of the new Store beta also allows Windows Insiders to download the latest preview of Microsoft’s universal Office apps, which as previously announced, comes with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Another big news is the addition of the Xbox app, which is the same version Insiders were testing on the Windows 10 desktop, but not it’s available for Windows Phone. Some of the features include, activity feed, achievements, friends list, activity alerts, messages, watch Game DVR clips, and connect to Xbox One. There is a new Music Preview app that includes support to play music store in OneDrive. And Windows 10 Mobile 10080 also includes the new Video Preview app with support for MKV files and users can resume videos they have purchased on a PC or Xbox. In build 10080, Microsoft is finally bringing support for the Lumia Icon/930, Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL, and HTC’s One (M8) for Windows, which is the first handset outside the Lumia line that joins the program. Microsoft points out that Windows 10 Mobile build 10080 has a new camera app, but it doesn’t take advantage of all the extra features some Lumia handsets have to offer. Those users wanting to have access to some of the functionality that isn’t available, they need to download the Lumia Camera app. However, this is just temporary, the software giant says that in future updates, features only found the Lumia Camera app will come to the default app camera app for Windows 10 Mobile. The new build shows up as version 10.0.12562.84 and those already registered through the Windows Insider program can download the bits by going to Settings /  Update & recovery / Phone update / Check for updates. If you’re not a Windows Insider and want to test the software, register here, download the Insider app for Windows Phones, and then follow the on screen directions. Since this is a preview available from the fast ring of updates, there are a lot known issues that you should know exist and it’s worth pointing out that you shouldn’t use these builds as your primary operating system.
