As expected, Windows 10 build 14901 doesn’t introduce significant changes. Microsoft says is currently focus on making structural improvements to OneCore (the shared code of Windows across PC, tablet, phone, IoT, Xbox, and HoloLens), to get the operating system ready to start adding new features and improvements in the coming months.
Notifications within File Explorer
Although no significant changes are part of the first Redstone 2 preview, the new test version includes new notifications in File Explorer. According to the company is a new effort to help customers discover the new features in the operating system.
If you don’t like to see notifications in File Explorer, you can simply uncheck “Show sync provider notifications” from the folder options. Microsoft also notes that as a result of the new changes, these test versions may include bugs and issues that makes Windows 10 “Redstone 2” not suitable to be your primary operating system. If you’re part of the Windows Insider Preview program, it’s recommended that you change the ring level to either “Slow” or “Release Preview” on Settings > Update & security > Window Insider Program.

There aren’t any major known issues on build 14901, but Microsoft says that Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes at launch, and support for kernel over 1394 has been removed temporarily.

How to get the first Windows 10 Redstone 2 preview
